Prospective Scientific Studies

Prospective studies that compare different treatment options are relatively rare but are necessary to improve the treatment for patients. We carry out prospective studies for glioblastoma patients that compare surgical and non-surgical treatment options for subgroups of patients. Our aim is to assess the optimal surgical treatment for every individual patient, while elevating the methodological rigor of prospective study design.

Intraoperative Mapping Techniques

Intraoperative mapping techniques help neurosurgeons to differentiate between healthy brain tissue and tumor tissue during the operation. This can make the operation safer and more extensive. The aim of our research is to investigate for which patients these techniques can improve their outcomes. We also aim to standardize key aspects to improve patient outcomes and to facilitate easier collaboration between centers.
